Sen. Orrin Hatch (R-Utah) today issued the following statement on the passing of community leader and longtime Salt Lake Tribune publisher Jack Gallivan:
"Elaine and I send our deepest condolences to Jack Gallivan’s family at the news of his passing. He was a true Utah icon and a community and business leader of great magnitude. His influence has been felt in so many aspects of life in our state from the distribution of the news in Utah to the Olympic movement. He deeply cared about Utah and was dedicated to ensuring the quality of life found here was centered around economic and cultural success. His good works will be felt by many for generations to come. "
