Sarbanes Statement on Rocket Attacks Against Israel
TOWSON – U.S. Congressman John Sarbanes (D-Md.) today released the following statement regarding the rocket attacks against Israel: “The rocket attacks against Israel are wantonly destructive of efforts to achieve peace and stability for both Israelis and Palestinians. I support Israel’s decision to respond to these attacks from Hamas and other sponsors of terror as a matter of its fundamental right to self-defense. “Avoiding the loss of innocent life is in the interest of all parties. The United States and others whose good offices can be brought to bear must stand with Israel as efforts to de-escalate the current conflict are pursued.” ###
