Ribble Statement on 11th Anniversary of September 11, 2001

Sep 11, 2012

Washington, D.C. – Representative Reid Ribble (WI-08) released the following statement on the 11th anniversary of September 11, 2001.

“I clearly remember watching the news 11 years ago on September 11, 2001 and witnessing the tragic events that would change our country forever. It affected all of us in different ways, and we each remember where we were and whom we were with on that fateful morning. My mom had passed away just three weeks earlier, so I had left work to spend the morning with my father at home. To this day I remember his tears as he watched. I remember.

“Sadly, the families of the nearly 3,000 victims will remember this morning too. They will remember frantic phone calls from loved ones. They will remember the news reports and it will remind them of the husbands, wives, sons and daughters they lost. It will remind them of those they have loved more than anyone else. They will remember the pain of that morning in a way we can never fully understand. They will remember what they have lost....and so I am reminded of them and I quietly ask God to remember them too.”
