SIUC RECEIVES TELECOMMUNICATIONS GRANT

Washington - U.S. Rep. Jerry Costello (D-IL) announced today that Southern Illinois University at Carbondale has been awarded a $40,782 Public Telecommunications Facilities Program grant through the U.S. Department of Commerce.  The funds will be used to purchase a master control audio console for WSIU-FM.

"This grant furthers the mission of Southern Illinois University," said Costello.  "I will continue to support programs which aid in the expansion and improvement of telecommunications services for our region."
