WESTERN EGYPTIAN ECONOMIC OPPORTUNITY COUNCIL RECEIVES HEAD START GRANT

Washington - U.S. Congressman Jerry Costello (D-IL) announced today that the Western Egyptian Economic Opportunity Council has been awarded a $1,029,333 Head Start grant from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services for its Handicapped Training and Technical Assistance Program in Steeleville. 

"Head Start is one of the most successful federal programs," Costello said.  "Developing a child's ability to learn is a tremendous investment, and I will continue to support these efforts."
