COSTELLO ANNOUNCES USDA GRANT FOR SOUTHERN ILLINOIS STIMULUS CORPORATION

Washington - U.S. Congressman Jerry Costello (D-IL) announced today that the Southern Illinois Stimulus Corporation has received a $250,000 Rural Business Enterprise grant through the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Office of Rural Development. The funds will be used to purchase 360 acres of land for a regional industrial park in southernmost Illinois.

"This is a great example of cooperation on the federal, state and local levels," said Costello. "These are important resources for a project that will benefit the entire region."
