COSTELLO ANNOUNCES USDA GRANT FOR ALEXANDER COUNTY

Washington - U.S. Congressman Jerry Costello (D-IL) announced today that Alexander County has received a $71,000 grant through the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Office of Rural Development. The funds will be used to employ a Flood Plain Technical Specialist to work with small businesses to become compliant with floodplain guidelines, allowing businesses to develop and expand.

"Technical assistance is an important resource to provide small business owners," said Costello. "I will continue to work to ensure that these resources are available to our communities."
