Washington - U.S. Congressman Jerry Costello (D-IL) announced today that the Rend Lake Conservancy District has been awarded a $2,455,884 grant by the Economic Development Administration. The funds will be used to renovate and replace major components of the Conservancy's water treatment plant and distribution system.
"A solid infrastructure is essential for economic development," Costello said. "This federal money will be combined with other resources to create a facility that will attract businesses and create jobs in the area."
