LOCAL COLLEGES RECEIVE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION GRANT
Washington - U.S. Congressman Jerry Costello (D-IL) announced today that several local colleges have been awarded TRIO Student Support Services grants through the U.S. Department of Education. These funds will be used to provide a variety of services to help students from disadvantaged backgrounds obtain a higher education.
"Education is the key to success, especially in the economy of the 21st Century," said Costello. "I will continue to support efforts to make a quality education more attainable."
