PULASKI COUNTY RECEIVES USDA GRANTS
Washington - U.S. Congressman Jerry Costello (D-IL) announced today that the following grants have been awarded in Pulaski County from the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Office of Rural Development:
- Village of Olmsted - $50,000 for renovation of an existing building for use as a Village library. Enhancements will include a general reading area, children's corner, storage room, mechanical room, accessible rest rooms and outdoor improvements.
- Pulaski County - $50,000 to remodel, update and repair the County's senior center to ensure that essential services can continue to be provided to area residents.
"Both of these grants will improve quality of life by improving facilities for public use," Costello said. "Having these services helps economic development."
