SOUTHERN ILLINOIS UNIVERSITY CARBONDALE RECEIVES HHS GRANT

Washington - U.S. Congressman Jerry Costello (D-IL) announced today that Southern Illinois University Carbondale has been awarded a $635,000 grant from the National Center for Research Resources of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.  The funds will be used to renovate a current research facility.      

"This type of grant indicates the quality of the research being conducted at SIUC," said Costello. "Improving campus facilities for research further enhances the academic reputation of the university."
