JACKSON COUNTY RECEIVES BUS FUNDS

Washington - U.S. Congressman Jerry Costello (D-IL) announced today that the Jackson County Transit District will receive a portion of a $909,656 bus grant through the Federal Transit Administration of the U.S. Department of Transportation.  The funds will be used to purchase paratransit vehicles. 

"These funds will help provide a diversified transportation system with access for the disabled," said Costello.  "Transportation options are essential to a strong economy, and I will continue to work to ensure there are adequate resources for these programs."
