Washington - U.S. Congressman Jerry Costello (D-IL) announced today that Southern Illinois University Carbondale has been awarded a $214,944 grant from the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. The funds will be used for research pertaining to mothers and children.
"This grant will further the important research mission of Southern Illinois University," Costello said. "Federal research is critical to sustaining a strong economy, and I will continue to support these efforts."
