UNIVERSITY MUSEUM RECEIVES GRANT

Washington - U.S. Congressman Jerry Costello (D-IL) announced today that University Museum in Carbondale has been awarded a $149,715 grant by the Institute of Museum and Library Services.  The funds will be used for the museum's 21st Century Collection Management Project, which will computerize the museum's manual records. 

"This is an important project that will be greatly accelerated by this grant," said Costello.  "Museums add a great deal to our communities and I will continue to support efforts that enhance educational opportunities."
