U.S. CONGRESSMAN JERRY COSTELLO PRESENTS MEDALS POSTHUMOUSLY TO GRANITE CITY VETERAN

Granite City, IL - The military service of Raymond Wuebbles, a Granite City U.S. Merchant Marine veteran, was honored on Monday, February 7, 2005 by U.S. Congressman Jerry Costello, (D-IL).

At a ceremony held in his Granite City District office, Congressman Costello presented several military medals to Margaret Wuebbles, wife of the late Raymond Wuebbles.  Raymond Wuebbles served in the United States Merchant Marine during World War II and passed away in 1999. The medals presented by Congressman Costello for Raymond Wuebbles were the Victory Medal and Bar, the Honorable Service Button, the Pacific War Zone Bar and Medal, the Atlantic War Zone Bar and Medal and the Mediterranean Middle East War Zone Bar and Medal.  

Margaret contacted Congressman Costello and asked for his help in securing her husband's medals.
