COSTELLO ANNOUNCES HUD GRANT FOR CHESTNUT HEALTH SYSTEMS

Washington - U.S. Congressman Jerry Costello (D-IL) announced today that Chestnut Health Systems, with locations in Belleville and Granite City, has been awarded a $967,400 Section 811 Program grant from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).  The funds will be used to increase the supply of rental housing with the availability of supportive services to better serve persons with disabilities. 

"Affordable housing is a key ingredient for healthy communities," Costello said.  "HUD programs help people live as independently as possible and I will continue to support these efforts."
