U.S. CONGRESSMAN JERRY COSTELLO PRESENTS MILITARY MEDALS TO FAIRVIEW HEIGHTS VETERAN

Belleville, IL -A World War II veteran from Fairview Heights, Illinois was honored by receiving his military medals on Tuesday, December 13, 2005 from U.S. Congressman Jerry Costello (D-IL).  Congressman Costello presented the medals to Ferdinand "Fred" Aubuschon at his Belleville Congressional District Office at 155 Lincoln Place Court in Belleville, Illinois.   Mr. Aubuschon served as a Seaman First Class in the U.S. Navy during World War II from 1943 to 1945 on board the USS Saufley.   Congressman Costello awarded Mr. Aubuschon with the World War II Victory medal, the American Campaign Medal, the Asiatic-Pacific Campaign medal with one Silver Star and one Bronze Star, the Navy Occupation Service Medal with Asia clasp, the China Service medal, the Honorable Service lapel Pin and the Discharge button. Mr. Aubuschon previously contacted Congressman Costello's office asking for assistance in securing his medals.
