U.S. CONGRESSMAN JERRY COSTELLO PRESENTS CHECK TO SIUC-RESEARCH PARK OFFICIALS FOR ROAD PROJECT

Carbondale, IL - On Wednesday, August 24, 2005 , U.S. Congressman Jerry Costello (D-IL) presented a check representing Transportation Bill funds to Southern Illinois University and Research Park officials at the Dunn Richmond Center located on the campus of Southern Illinois University at Carbondale .

Costello presented SIUC officials with a mock check in the amount of $1,000,000. The Southern Illinois Research Park will use these funds to build additional access and roadways in the Research Park .  

Costello secured these funds for the improvement to the Research Park in the multi-year Transportation Bill recently approved by the U.S. Congress.
