U.S. CONGRESSMAN JERRY COSTELLO PRESENTS CHECK TO VILLAGE OF BETHALTO OFFICIALS
FOR WEST CORBIN OVERPASS PROJECT

Bethalto, IL - On Wednesday, August 17, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. U.S. Congressman Jerry Costello (D-IL) presented a check representing Transportation Bill funds to Bethalto Mayor Steve Bryant at the Bethalto Village Hall.

Costello presented Mayor Bryant and City and County officials with a mock check in the amount of $4,000,000. Bethalto will use these funds to build an overpass at I-255 and improve roadways at West Corbin Street in Bethalto. The improvement will provide immediate relief to the intersection of Rt. 140 and Rt. 111.

Costello secured these funds for the improvement to build the overpass in the multi-year Transportation Bill recently approved by the U.S. Congress.
