SIU-C RECEIVES EDUCATION GRANT

Washington - U.S. Congressman Jerry Costello (D-IL) announced today that Southern Illinois University at Carbondale has been awarded a $992,000 Directed Program Grant through the U.S. Department of Education.  The two year grant will support the programs, initiatives and staffing needs of the Paul Simon Public Policy Institute at SIUC.

"The Paul Simon Public Policy Institute provides additional opportunities to act on important policy issues impacting not only our state, but for the nation and our world," said Costello. "These funds will further continue to help the work of the institute."
