- Nearly one year ago, I stood with engineers and construction workers on what is now the Charles W. Cullen Bridge over the Indian River Inlet. Today, this bridge is completed, open for traffic, and has just won the Grand Conceptor Award from the Delaware American Council of Engineering Companies! Congratulations to all who worked on this project on this achievement.

Today, I was honored to join veterans, young cadets and leaders from across our state at the Delaware Military Academy to pay our respects to those we lost 71 years ago at Pearl Harbor. This holiday season, be sure to thank a veteran for the selfless sacrifices they've made for us and our country.- Happy Delaware Day, everyone! 225 years ago, our state became the "First State" to ratify the Constitution. We should all be proud of Delaware's rich history and unique place in the founding of this great nation!
