Akaka to speak at Native Hawaiian Convention

Honolulu, Hawaii - Tomorrow, October 4, U.S. Senator Daniel K. Akaka will address the 11th annual Native Hawaiian Convention at 2:30 p.m. in the Hawai'i Convention Center.
Senator Akaka has spoken at every Native Hawaiian Convention since its inception in 2001. This will be his final address to the convention as a sitting U.S. Senator, as he retires in January. Akaka is the first Native Hawaiian ever in the U.S. Senate and third to serve in Congress.
