Affordable and accessible health care not only improves quality of life, it makes businesses in the United States more competitive internationally. Paul believes that seniors should be able to afford prescription drugs without filing for bankruptcy, young adults should be able to stay on their parents plan, and individuals shouldn’t be dropped from their insurance coverage because they get sick or have a pre-existing condition. Paul is also strong advocate in Congress for mental health parity, after having sponsored a similar measure while serving in the New York State Assembly called “Timothy’s Law.”
