Larson Statement on Retirement of House Parliamentarian John Sullivan

WASHINGTON –House Democratic Caucus Chairman John B. Larson (CT) released the following statement today after Parliamentarian of the House of Representatives John Sullivan announced his retirement:

“For a quarter century, John Sullivan helped Members navigate the rules of the House and the Constitution in a way that not only honored the institution but earned him the respect of Members and staff alike.

“I wish him all the best for his retirement. And while I look forward to working with Tom Wickham in his new role as Parliamentarian, we’re all sad to see a good friend like John moving on.”
