GOP 100 Days Report Card

Today marks the 100th day of Republican control of the House. House Democrats created this report card to remind our Republican colleagues that failing to deliver a jobs agenda deserves a failing grade.

In these first hundred days of the 112th Congress, Americans wanted their leaders to focus on creating jobs and growing the economy. What they’ve gotten is a reckless Republican ideological agenda that ends Medicare, jeopardizes Social Security and puts tax cuts for billionaires and businesses that ship jobs overseas on the backs of working families, our seniors, and our kids. As the President said, “We don’t have to choose between a future of spiraling debt and one where we forfeit investments in our people and our country.” We can have a country where we live within our means and invest in our future; where everyone makes sacrifices but no one bears all the burden; where we provide a basic measure of security for our citizens and rising opportunity for our children.
