Ride Solutions (Brevi Bus)

Utilizing federal assistance secured by Rep. Mica, Putnam County Ride Solutions is in the process of developing and fielding new Brevi Buses. These new locally designed and engineered vehicles are specifically built to provide mass transit to rural areas. The shorter and more maneuverable low-floor buses will better able to service Putnam’s paved and unpaved areas.

The first Brevi Bus is currently under testing by the National Highway Transportation and Safety Board and the National Highway Administration. Once testing is complete and improvements are made full scale production will follow.

To that end Congressman Mica is currently working with local elected officials and community leaders in efforts to continue the manufacturing of the Brevi Buses in Putnam County once Ride Solutions' transportation needs are met. Manufacturing these innovative buses and marketing them to other public transportation systems around the country will help to create long-term, highly skilled jobs in Putnam.
