The award is presented to members in Congress based on their voting record on senior issues. May 10, 2012- The American Conservative Union honored Billy for his commitment to protecting liberty and our Constitution. His ACU rating of 92 ranked him as the most conservative member of the Missouri delegation in 2011. September 13, 2012- Billy receives the Guardian of Small Business award. September 20, 2012- Billy receives the Tax Fighter Award from National Tax Limitation Committee. November 28, 2012- Billy signs Christmas cards for service members, veterans and their families during the annual American Red Cross Holiday Mail for Heroes program.

Interns

(Spring 2012, Springfield) Kevin Robertson is from Nixa, Missouri, and is a Freshman at Missouri State University. Kevin wants to be involved in the community when he graduates. (Spring 2012, Springfield) Maria Peacock is from Springfield, Missouri, and is joyfully married to Joel Derek Peacock. Maria is also an Attorney and is very grateful to be interning for Congressman Long. (Fall 2011, Springfield) Hilary Dempsey grew up in Springfield, Missouri, and will graduate from Missouri State University in the Spring with a political science degree. She will be attending graduate school within the next year. (Fall 2011, Springfield) Martin Plute is a Freshman at Missouri State University studying Political Science. Martin hopes to work in International Relations and Counter Terrorism after graduating. (Summer 2011, Springfield) Taylor Westby is from Tulsa, Oklahoma and is a Junior at Drury University. He plans on being commissioned as an Officer in the Marine Corps after graduation. (Summer 2011, Springfield) Ali Haseltine was born and raised in Springfield, MO and is a Senior at the University of Virginia. Future plans include grad school. (Summer 2011, DC) Justin Haseltine was born and raised in Springfield, MO and graduated from Duke University in the spring of 2011. He is attending Cornell Medical School in the fall. (Summer 2011, DC) Molly Moran is currently a Junior at Missouri State University studying Entertainment Management. She is originally from Saint Louis, MO.
