Visiting Washington DC

Are you planning a visit to Washington, D.C.? Whether you're coming on a short business trip, or an extended family vacation, my office can help you make arrangements for some of the more popular Federal attractions in our Nation's Capital.

If you are planning a trip to Washington, D.C. my office would be happy to assist you in setting up tours to the following sites:

  • White House
  • U.S. Capitol
  • Library of Congress

These tours are an excellent way to see all that the nation's capital has to offer and all of these tours are of no charge to you. All tickets are provided to my constituents on a first-come, first-served basis. Due to the large number of visitors, please request them as early as possible in order to maximize your chances.

To submit a request for a tour please fill out the Tour Request Form. When completed email the form to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it , my office can only receive tour requests via email.

If you would like to request a White House tour you must also fill out and submit the White House Security Template that is on the second page of the Tour Request Form. Without the security information, we will not be able to process your White House tour request. When filling out the White House Security form please include your full middle name. If you do not have a full middle name put NMN in the space provided. 

***For groups of 10 or more please fill out the attached White House Security Form.

PLEASE NOTE: Requests should be submitted 4-6 months in advance due to limited tour availability. Additionally due to new changes in security clearance procedures, White House tour requests submitted within 30 days of the intended tour date cannot be scheduled-no exceptions can be made.  


Public Tours
In addition to the guided Congressional tours, there are number of free public tours at many monuments, museums, and historical sites all around Washington, D.C. Please note that some attractions are unable to fulfill requests even if they are made with considerable lead time. This is especially true from March to September. Following, you will find information and links to some of these sites.
