Rep. Wasserman Schultz to Host Congressional Art Competition for Local High School Students

(Pembroke Pines, FL)  --  The 25th Annual Congressional Art Competition, An Artistic Discovery, provides Members of Congress with the unique opportunity to showcase the talents of their creative, dynamic high school constituents.  As the Congressional Representative of Florida's 20th District, Rep. Wasserman Schultz will host the competition for her third time this year.

Since the competition's inception in 1982, countless numbers of students have been able to participate at the local level.  The winning piece from our District will be showcased for the next year in the U.S. Capitol in Washington, DC, along with the winning pieces from Congressional Districts all over the country.  The winner will also be provided with two complimentary round-trip tickets to attend a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the Capitol in honor of the exhibit on Thursday, June 28, 2007.
