Congressional Art Contest |
Each year, the Congressional Art Caucus sponsors "An Artistic Discovery, the Congressional Art Caucus Competition." Every congressional district submits one painting done by an area art student to hang in the corridor between the House office buildings and the United States Capitol building and be part of the national exhibit of artwork. This is a huge honor as thousands pass through the tunnel every day. In Nebraska, the winner for each congressional district is chosen in conjunction with Nebraska's Youth Art Month festivities held March of every year. Below is some important information if you would like to participate in the contest. Please contact my district office if you have any questions. Competition is open to HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS ONLY More information is available on the House website or call my office at 402-397-9944. Please refer to Nebraska Youth Art Month for complete guidelines to the Nebraska Youth Art Month competition and participating in the Congressional Art Caucus Competition.
