Leader Cantor Discusses Pro-Growth Policies With Virginia Small Business Owners On FOX Business

RICHMOND, VA – Today, House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-VA) met with local small business owners to hear their concerns and discuss local job creation. In an interview with FOX Business, Leader Cantor and Richmond small business owner, Buster Wright, talked about the obstacles hindering job growth.

“What I've told Buster is that we are trying to do everything we can to make it easier on individuals, such as Buster, who really have taken the initiative and said I am going to chase my dream, create a business and create jobs for all these employees in here. The announcement is Libbie Market is going to have another location. We want to make it so that more small business people like Buster can do that. What it takes is lessening the burden from Washington and reducing taxes, which is why I have talked about a small business tax cut. Buster is even talking about a small business protection plan. We need some things to say America is a small business country. We are for startups. We are for people starting up businesses."

“One of the things that we are going to be working on that I think would help a great deal is to say no more regulation out of Washington, save for health and emergency, until we get this economy turned around, until we get unemployment below 5 percent. These are the kinds of things we need to do, common sense measures that will help an entrepreneur and small business person like Buster.”
