Sens. Lamar Alexander (R- Tenn.) and Chris Coons (D- Del.) today introduced the SMART (Sustaining Our Most Advanced Researchers and Technology) Jobs Act to create a path for foreign students graduating U.S. colleges with master's or doctorate degrees in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) fields to remain in the United States to work and create jobs. "Instead of going home to create the next Google in India or China or some other country, we'd like them to stay here and create it here," Alexander said.
