Passport Day in the USA to be held March 10

Washington, Feb 14 -

The El Paso Passport Agency will participate in Passport Day in the USA on Saturday, March 10 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Passport Day in the USA is the only day all year long when Passport Agencies around the country are open to the public on a Saturday.  For this day only, U.S. citizens can apply for a passport without an appointment and without having to pay the extra fee which is normally charged when entering an agency.  The extra fee will be charged for those who request expedite service (those traveling within 14 days who pay the fee to get their passport within five days).

The El Paso Passport Agency is located at 303 North Oregon Street (corner of Mills and Oregon streets) in the Anson Mills Building on the 7th floor.

What to bring: Proof of U.S. Citizenship (old Passport or current Passport); U.S. Birth Certificate (originals or certified only); Valid Photo ID; Passport-sized (2X2) color photo taken within the last six months; Check, Money Order or Credit Card.  First-time applicants pay $135 for the Passport Book and $55 for a Passport Card.  A full list of fees is available at: http://www.travel.state.gov/passport/fees/fees_837.html.  There are special requirements for minors.  Please go to the website for more information.

Save time: Download your application form from the Internet at http://www.travel.state.gov/. First-time applicants need a DS-11 and those who are renewing a Passport need a DS-82.  Fill out the form, but don’t sign it.
