Alabama's 4th District

Natural Bridge is 60 foot-high, 148-foot-long sandstone and iron ore bridge formation is said to date back 200 million years. It is known as the longest Bridge east of the rockies.

The Fourth Congressional District of Alabama, located in the north central part of the state, is comprised of 14 counties which extend from the Mississippi border to the Georgia state line.

The Fourth District of the State of Alabama is a beautiful and diverse area with much to offer residents and visitors. The western portion offers the longest Natural Bridge east of the Rockies, Bankhead National Forest, and Looney's Tavern Amphitheatre.

Easley Bridge (1927) is the oldest of the three remaining covered bridges in Blount County, all of which are still in use.

The central portion of the Fourth District is in an excellent location for both industry and recreation. It is easily accessed by the Interstate and close to both Huntsville and Birmingham, two of the metropolitan areas of the State. Blount county is unique in that  it is home to the most covered bridges in the state. Cullman, Walker and Winston counties enjoy the beauty of Lewis Smith Lake.

The Noccalula waterfall is 100-feet tall and named for a young Cherokee maiden who according to legend plunged to her untimely death rather than forsake her true love The east portion of the district offers many beautiful recreational sites including Lake Guntersville, Little River Canyon, and Noccalula Falls.
