Rep. Todd Young announced on Thursday that the 9^th District Offices in Jeffersonville and Bloomington will be accepting toys on behalf of the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program.

“As someone who served in the Marine Corps, I’m excited to partner with the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve in their Toys for Tots Program,” said Young.  “Especially in tough economic times, this is a great way to ensure that children around the district have a memorable Christmas.”

An official Toys for Tots collection box is located in Jeffersonville at 279 Quartermaster Court and in Bloomington at 320 W 8^th Street, Suite 114.  Donations will be accepted during regular business hours from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM on Monday through Friday. Collected toys for Toys for Toys will be distributed to children within the local community. For more information, please call the Jeffersonville office at (812) 288-3999.

The mission of the U. S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program is to collect new, unwrapped toys during October, November and December each year, and distribute those toys as Christmas gifts to less fortunate children in the community in which the campaign is conducted.
