Welcome to the USDA West Virginia Rural Development web page.  Our team here in The Mountain State takes great pride in helping the communities and people we serve as we continue to deliver USDA Rural Development’s resources throughout rural West Virginia.  We have over 40 loan and grant programs available and we work hard every day to fulfill our mission of increasing economic opportunity and improving the quality of life for all rural Americans.

Change is inevitable.  However, we welcome change and the opportunities it brings along.  We will face challenges, yet the opportunities always outweigh the challenges.  We will continue striving to reach our vision:  a rural America that is a Healthy, Safe & Prosperous place to Live and Work.

Our aggressive partnering with public and private sector organizations, non-profits, as well as the various community developers and civil leaders make us a successful federally funded venture capital entity.  Through these essential relationships, we are able to leverage more resources for our rural residents to access, while at the same time encouraging more lenders and other organizations to participate and invest in rural community economic development.
