Internship Program on Capitol Hill (Washington, DC Office):

 

The internship program in Senator Burr's Washington office consists of two semester-long sessions in the spring and fall, three five-week sessions during the summer months. During their time in Washington, D.C., interns participate in a wide array of activities ranging from constituent services and conducting U.S. Capitol tours to legislative research. In addition, interns are encouraged to enjoy the many other activities Washington, D.C. offers. Applicants are generally college students from the State of North Carolina, and preference is given to upperclassmen studying political science, economics, and international relations. 

We are no longer accepting applications for the Spring 2013 semester program.  To apply for one of our Summer 2013 sessions, please complete the application.  Applications and all accompanying materials must be received by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, March 8, 2013.
