Participate Online: 2012 Colorado Capital Conference

Posted: Monday, June 4, 2012

Dear Fellow Coloradan,

Tomorrow, I'm kicking off my second annual Colorado Capital Conference. With help from Colorado Mesa University and the University of Colorado, nearly 100 Coloradans will have the opportunity to meet with decision-makers in Washington, D.C., for a three-day discussion of common-sense solutions to the challenges that face our nation.

Unfortunately, I couldn't invite all of Colorado to the conference, so I'm bringing the best parts to you through my blog and on Twitter via @COCapConf and @MarkUdall. I encourage you to follow along and participate online: http://markudall.senate.gov/capitalconference/.

Follow the conference online.
The Colorado Capital Conference will be a chance for Coloradans from across the state to engage national leaders in a substantive discussion about our most important national priorities. The conference will feature a diverse list of speakers, including Secretary of the Interior Ken Salazar, U.S. Senator John McCain and Director of the National Economic Council Gene B. Sperling. Click here for a full list of speakers.

Colorado is not a red state or a blue state; it's a red, white and blue state. And that's why I'm particularly proud that attendees at this year's conference will represent a cross section of Colorado – both politically and geographically. Click here to learn more about the attendees and where they are from by exploring an interactive map.

I believe that democratic government is made more effective and accountable through public participation. Even though you will not be here with us, I hope you will join the discussion by participating online.

Warm regards,

Mark Udall
