Academic Opportunities

Interning for Congresswoman Biggert

Internship opportunities - for the summer or school year - are available at both Congresswoman Biggert’s Washington, DC, and Willowbrook offices.  Although these internships generally are non-paid, college credit is an option.

Internships on Capitol Hill provide students with the opportunity to get a first-hand look at government at work, and to help Congresswoman Biggert with her important work in the House of Representatives.  Interns receive a wide array of responsibilities including providing tours of the capitol, writing constituent response letters, legislative research projects, and attending issue briefings.  District interns are also responsible for writing constituent letters, legislative research, helping with events, and general office work.

Feel free to contact either office for more information or fill out the application form (word or pdf) and return it to the office where you would like to be an intern.
