Recovering from Sandy & Getting Out to Vote
November 2, 2012
Dear Friends,
Many people all across the tri-state area are still in desperate need of basic services since Hurricane Sandy made landfall on October 29. Despite the widespread devastation, times like this show the best of us. We are all grateful to the rescue workers and first responders working around-the-clock to save lives, restore power, and deal with the immediate aftermath of the storm. Federal, state, and local
authorities have worked hand-in-hand in the days after the storm and I thank President Obama, Governor Cuomo and Mayor Bloomberg for their outstanding leadership in making sure we were prepared for the worst. I am confident that we will be able to rebuild and come out of this disaster stronger.
