FY2012 Submission of Military Construction Authorization Requests to Senate Armed Services Committee
The following military construction requests were submitted by Senator Begich to the Senate Armed Services Committee.
Senator Mark Begich submitted the attached military construction projects to the Senate Armed Services Committee on June 6, 2011. It is important to note these are submissions by Senator Begich for project authorization, not appropriations requests. Defense projects require both authorization from the Senate Armed Services Committee. Projects receiving authorization from the Senate Armed Services Committee may not receive an appropriation from the Senate Appropriations Committee. Please view the appropriations submissions for their progress, which is independent of the authorization submissions. The appropriations process will continue for the next 2-4 months. When we know the status of submitted projects, we will update the website.
