“The artistic talent of high school students in California’s 6th District never ceases to impress me,” said Rep. Woolsey. “This is one of my favorite events of the year because it gives me a chance to showcase the creativity of the children of Marin and Sonoma Counties.”

The first place winner of the California’s 6th Congressional District art competition will win three roundtrip tickets to Washington D.C. for the official opening of the “Congressional High School Art Exhibit” and their artwork will receive a professional framing from “The Ragged Sailor Gallery and Framery” in Larkspur. The second and third place winners will be able to have their artwork professionally framed at “Aaron Brothers” in San Rafael. All winners will receive a certificate from Rep. Lynn Woolsey.

The annual Congressional High School Art Competition is held across the country with winners chosen in every congressional district. Each first place winner’s artwork will be on public display for one year in the U.S. Capitol. Rep. Woolsey hosts the “Congressional High School Art Exhibit” for California 6th District in Marin County every other year - alternating with Sonoma County.
