  • The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts is America's National Cultural Center. Congressional tours are conducted at 9:30 AM and 4:30 PM daily, including weekends.
  • The United States Capitol is open to the public for guided tours Monday through Sunday on a first-come, first-serve basis. Congressional staff guided tours are available upon request and can be reserved in advance.
  • The State Department Diplomatic Reception Rooms hold a premier collection of 18th Century American furniture, paintings and decorative arts. Tours are available through Congressional offices and are generally scheduled Monday through Friday at 9:30 AM, 10:30 AM, and 2:45 PM. This tour is not recommended for children under the age of twelve.
  • The Bureau of Engraving and Printing produces billions of dollars in currency every year for delivery to the Federal Reserve System. Congressional tours are available. Advance reservations are encouraged during peak season, from March to August.

  • Congressman Nunes’ Washington DC office is located in the Longworth House Office Building. Staff-guided tours of the Capitol Building begin in the Nunes DC office, Suite 1013, Longworth House Office Building. Parking on Capitol Hill is limited. The use of public transportation is encouraged.
  • The Library of Congress is the nation's oldest federal cultural institution and serves as the research arm of Congress. It is also the largest library in the world, with millions of books, recordings, photographs, maps and manuscripts in its collections. Public tours are available Monday through Friday on a first-come, first-serve basis. Congressional tours can be scheduled in advance.
  • The United States Capitol is open to the public for guided tours Monday through Sunday on a first-come, first-serve basis. Congressional staff guided tours are available upon request and can be reserved in advance.
  • The Pentagon is headquarters of the Department of Defense and is one of the world's largest office buildings. A virtual city in itself, the complex boasts 23,000 employees. Tours must be scheduled in advance and all visitors are subject to a background check.
  • The Supreme Court of the United States is open Monday through Friday 9:00 AM through 4:30 PM. Public tours are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Congressional tours may be scheduled in advance.
  • The White House offers limited self-guided tours of the historic mansion. All tours must be arranged through your Member of Congress. Six months advance notice is recommended. Please note that West Wing tours are not available and because the White House is a functioning government building, mansion tours are subject to last minute cancelation.


My office can arrange tours of the U.S. Capitol Building, White House and other popular D.C. landmarks for residents of California's 21st District. Reservations are made on a first-come, first-served basis.

Please note, due to heightened security, tour requests for the White House and Pentagon require additional security related information. In addition, the tourist season in our Nation's Capitol begins in the spring and lasts through the summer months. Please plan accordingly and submit your requests as early as possible.

While my office will always attempt to accommodate your requests, it is highly recommended that you provide a minimum of 60 days advance notice. White House tours generally require as much as 6 months advance notice.

Tickets are free, and provided on a first-come first-served basis. If my office is unable to secure a congressional tour for the sites you selected, all locations (except the White House and State Department) are available for public tours. Please visit here for information about public tour information for many of the sites in Washington D.C.

Admittance is determined by the individual tour site or agency, not by the Congressional office. Unless specified, tours are available Monday through Friday.

Please note: White House tour reservations are extremely limited. In addition, visitor access records to the White House will be released to the public 90-120 days after a visit. Your full name and the date of your tour will be part of the public record that is released. Your date of birth, Social Security number and all other private information will not be released.
