KINGSTON ANNOUNCES VETERANS FORUM

Washington, Aug 25, 2011 -

WASHINGTON, DC – Congressman Jack Kingston (R-GA) announced today that he will host a Veterans Forum  to educate First District veterans about programs and assistance available to them.  Veterans will have the opportunity to meet face to face with the decision makers from the Regional offices of the Veterans Administration as well as get information from volunteer groups and non-profit organizations that help supplement Veterans Administration services and programs.

“We owe so much to our veterans and want to make sure that they know about all of the programs and assistance that are available to them through the VA and other agencies,” said Kingston.  “I encourage all veterans who need help to attend this forum.  Whether they need assistance with completing forms, processing a claim, or just want to learn more about the many opportunities for which they may eligible for, there will be someone there that has the we’ll have answer for them.”

“This is such a unique event because this is probably the only such event in the nation where the decision makers of the Regional Offices come to the vets not only to provide information, but in fact solve problems that veterans are experiencing with their claims and the cumbersome system.” Said Bruce McCartney

Veterans interested in applying for or learning more about programs offered through the Veterans Administration are encouraged to attend. Additionally, there will be a panel discussion on common VA issues at 11:00 am.
