Rep. Roscoe Bartlett Probes OMB Witness for Sequestration Details On Aug 1 2012

Congressman Roscoe Bartlett, chairman of the Subcommittee on Tactical and Air Land Forces of the House Armed Services Committee, probed Jeffrey Zients, the Acting Director of the Office of Management and Budget, for specific impacts on defense from sequestration in a series of four questions during a hearing held on August 1, 2012. Sequestration will be applied at the ppa level; to programs deemed "not exempt" and to unobligated balances. A list of exempt and not exempt accounts TBD by analysis of the 1985 Gramm Rudman law as well as the Budget Control Act approved last year.
