There are two principal agencies that work to meet the needs of West Virginia’s veterans: the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs and the West Virginia Division of Veterans Assistance. Below, you will find information on the services these two agencies provide.  

Veterans - use eBenefits to access your records and apply for benefits online!  

Nearly two million veterans have used eBenefits to apply for job training, disability claims, education assistance, home loans, life insurance, and more.  Check the status of a claim or get help in building your resume.

The West Virginia Division of Veterans Assistance (WVDVA) has 16 field offices across the state to help veterans and their dependents get their benefits.  Accredited officers at each location can help veterans file claims and connect them other resources.

Veterans –use Blue Button to access your medical records online

Blue Button enables veterans to download personal health information into a single, downloadable file that can be used inside a growing number of private health care electronic records–as well as those in the VA, Department of Defense, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, and private sector partners.
