SENATORS KOHL AND FEINGOLD, CONGRESSMEN PETRI AND KAGEN TO HOST UNITED STATES SERVICE ACADEMY DAY ‘09

Washington, D.C. – U.S. Senators Herb Kohl and Russ Feingold and Congressmen Tom Petri and Steve Kagen, M.D., will hold Academy Day 2009 on Saturday, September 26, 2009 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) Center in Oshkosh. This informative seminar is open to all Wisconsin high school students, parents, guidance counselors, and others who have an interest in the admissions process of the U.S. Service Academies. All necessary qualifications and the procedures for applying to the academies will be explained. Registration is not required for this event.

 

Representatives from the U.S. Air Force Academy, the U.S. Coast Guard Academy, the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy, the U.S. Military Academy and the U.S. Naval Academy will all be present to answer questions and distribute information about their academies. Academies will also be represented by a Wisconsin cadet/midshipman currently attending the academy to share their first-hand experiences. Senators Kohl and Feingold and Congressmen Petri and Kagen encourage all interested students and parents to attend. Any questions regarding this event should be directed to the Members’ offices.

 

The EAA Center is located at 3000 Poberezny Road in Oshkosh.
