Congressman Honda to Host Forum on AAPIs in CA-15 District PDF Print E-mail


Cupertino, CA - This Friday, August 13, 2010, Rep. Mike Honda, Chair of the Congressional Asian Pacific American Caucus (CAPAC), will host “Asian American and Pacific Islander Voices in Government,” a community forum in Cupertino, CA.

Rep. Mike Honda will be joined by Daphne Kwok, chair of the President's Advisory Commission on Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders, John Chiang, California State Controller, Fiona Ma, Speaker Pro Tempore of the California State Assembly, CA Assemblyman Paul Fong, and others. The forum will be moderated by Evan Low, Mayor of Campbell.

The forum will highlight common issues affecting the diverse Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) communities, the legislative and other work being done in Congress, and at other levels of the government to address them. These include immigration reform, economic recovery, job creation, education reform, and health care.
