WASHINGTON, DC - Today, Rep Michael Honda accompanies Rep George Miller in Energy Efficiency Policy Perspectives Luncheon. The focus of the luncheon will be the role of Northern California in the new energy economy and federal actions surrounding energy policy.

WHAT:             

Reps. Mike Honda (D-Calif.) and George Miller (D-Calif.) will join the Alliance to Save Energy, a national nonprofit organization that promotes energy efficiency, in the Alliance’s Outside the Beltway Policy Perspectives series to discuss federal actions around energy policy and Northern California’s role in the new energy economy.

Both congressmen are members of the Sustainable Energy & Environment Coalition (SEEC) of the U.S. House of Representatives. The SEEC advocates policies to promote clean energy innovation and domestic manufacturing, develop renewable energy resources, create clean energy jobs, help arrest global warming and protect our nation’s environment.

These SEEC members will join Alliance Associates (member companies and agencies) and guests to explore the state of play of federal actions around energy policy and the role for Northern California in the new energy economy.
