Rep Michael Honda Joins Fellow Congressional Progressive Caucus Members and Leader Pelosi at Speak Out for Good Jobs Now! Town Hall
Oakland, CA – Congressman Michael Honda (D-CA) will participate in a Speakout for Good Jobs Now! Town Hall on Tuesday, August 16, 2011 from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Acts Full Gospel Church of God in Christ, 1034 66th Ave., Oakland, CA.
Congressman Honda, CPC Budget Task Force Chair, will be joined by Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), Congresswoman Barbara Lee, and Congressman Raúl M. Grijalva (D-AZ), Co-Chair of the Congressional Progressive Caucus (CPC) in a town hall meeting with Americans concerned about the need for good jobs in their communities.
So far, several Speakout for Good Jobs Now! Town halls have been held around the country. Thousands of Americans have participated in the listening tour and have had a chance to tell their stories to members of the Congressional Progressive Caucus. Caucus members are collecting these stories and will bring them back to Washington in September where the continued focus will be on getting Congress to stop playing games and work on a real plan to create jobs.
